You may notice...

You may notice that unlike many commercially available simulators...

You cannot fly behind the building directly behind the pilot location.
You cannot fly through the pilot location.
The sky directly above the pilot location is flat blue with no clouds, and disorienting.
There is no auto zoom function.

All of these are deliberate omissions. When flying a real RC helicopter, you cannot safely do these things, so I have made it either impossible, a crash, or at least discouraging in the simulator as well.

Many fields do not have space behind the pilot location where its safe to fly. There are either obstacles, observers, or a pit area. Its a good habit to keep your helicopter in front of you and the "flight line" at all times.

Actual RC helicopters hurt when they hit you. So, in the simulator, its considered a crash. You definitely don't want to get in the habit of flying the simulator too close. With the real helicopter, its just not safe.

Flying a real RC aircraft directly overhead results in very poor visualization of its attitude. Its difficult to tell if the nose is up or down, or if its rolled to one side. In the simulator, I've made the background directly above the pilot a cloudless blue sky to encourage you to NOT fly overhead.

In the case of auto-zoom, I omitted it to force you keep your model safely in visual range. You probably dont have a personal assistant to hold up the binoculars when flying, so why should there be one in the simulator?
