HeliSimRC can be set to run at a fraction of the normal speed, or at a higher than normal speed.
Using a lower speed allows you to learn new skills at a slow pace. Then, when you're ready, you can increase the simulation speed back to normal.
Using a higher speed allows you to "overtrain", or learn to manage events occuring faster than normal. This gives you some reserve, for when things don't go as expected.
