The record playback bar contains 7 buttons and a slider, illustrated below:
From left to right the button functions are:
Play
Begins playback of the current recording.
Slow Motion Playback
Begins playback of the current recording at slow speed.
Pause Simulator
This pauses the entire simulation, including playback (or recording).
Stop
This stops playback or recording.
If you are recording, the current recording is ended.
Time Slider
During playback, this control allows you to scroll through the recording forward and backward to the desired position.
Record
This button begins recording. Any existing recording is erased and a new one started.
Open
This button loads a previously recorded flight as the current recording. After opening a recording, you can use the playback controls to display it.
Save
This button copies a "just made" recording to a permanent file of your choosing. After recording a flight, you can play it back immediately without saving and re-loading it. However, if you want to retain the recording for later, or send it to another pilot you need to use the Save button. If you don't, the next time you record something, the current recording will be erased.
